Constructor Championship Clinched in Brazil but Drivers Championship Still up for Grabs

Mark WebberThe penultimate race of the 2010 Formula One Championship happened November 7th, 2010, and Red Bull Racing took the Constructor's Championship, but the Driver's competition will be decided at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which will happen November 12th through the 14th. This will be the final race of the year for the 2010 Formula One Championship and although Sebastian Vettel was allowed by the team to take the top spot over Mark Webber, that puts them in a tough spot for Abu Dhabi next weekend.

Sebastian Vettel ended up in front of Mark Webber by 4.2 seconds and Fernando Alonso was third in the ending line-up, behind Webber by 2.5 seconds. This was the fourth race that Sebastian Vettel has won this year, and the race included a crash into the wall by Vitantonio Liuzzi with Force India on the 50th lap. However, that deploying of the safety car because of that crash was what helped Alonso eventually get into his third placed spot. The race lasted a total of 71 laps, and coming in fourth and fifth ended McLaren driver's hopes for the Championship.

There are only four drivers that still have a chance of taking home the Clinched in Brazil but Drivers Championship title for the 2010 Formula One season. We have Fernando Alonso with Ferrari in first with 246 points with Mark Webber in second with 238 and teammate Sebastian Vettel with Red bull with 231 points. Lewis Hamilton is the fourth driver that has a chance of taking the title with 222 points. This is the closest season ever for a Formula One Championship and we'll all have to wait until next week at Abu Dhabi to see what happens.
