Official Entry List for the 2010 F1 Season Published

Mark WebberThe list of official entries for this year's Formula One Championship was published again by the FIA after weeks of wondering who will be on the list on Wednesday. The United States team from North Carolina will not be competing but there are twelve that will be opening the season in Bahrain, for the Bahrain Grand Prix which will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit from March 12th through the 14th.

The FIA released a statement that said in effect that the US Team had made the decision not to participate in the 2010 FIA Formula One Racing Championship. They were expected to compete, but were apparently unable to, and according to the FIA, it is now too late to find a replacement team. Also the FIA announced that they are going to have a new selection process to identify teams and drivers to fill the spots will be open at the beginning of the 2011 season of Formula One Racing. Among the changes this year Campos have changed their name to HRT and BMW Sauber will be competing with Pedro De la Rosa and Kumui Kobayashi to take the numbers 22 and 23.

The list of constructors and drivers include Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton for McLaren Mercedes, numbers one and two, and Mercedes Benz GP Limited Michael Shumacher and Nico Rosberg as well as Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber for Red Bull Racing Renault and Ferrari with Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso. Also, Rubens Barrichello and Nico Hulkenberg for Williams Cosworth, Renault with Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov and Force India Mercedes with Adrian Sultil and Vitantonio Liuzzi. Making up the end are STR Ferrari, Lotus Cosworth, HRT Cosworth and BMW Sauber Ferrari as well as Virgin Cosworth.
