The seventh race of the 2009 Formula One season will happen in June as the Turkish Grand Prix is ran in Istanbul, Park. This race is regarded as one of the most exciting races of the entire formula one season and you're in the right place as www.liveracingonline.com will be carrying multiple streams and feeds from the race to allow you access to the entire event directly from the comfort and convenience of your PC or Laptop – anywhere in the world that you might be. The circuit is difficult but the racers are determined, and this is going to be a very exciting race to watch.

The Turkish Grand Prix started in 2005, and was held at the same venue – the newly constructed Istanbul Park Circuit, which became the 3rd counter-clockwise track on the F1 Calender, which includes only the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari and the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace in Brazil. The 2005 race was won by Kimi Raikkonen, who was then with Mclaren-Mercedes. The first Turkish Grand Prix ever saw Fernando Alonso take second in 2005.
The race is sponsored this year by the financial, insurance and banking institution ING. Previous to their sponsorship was Petrol Ofisi, who sponsored in 2006, 2007 and 2008. The first year the race was run it was sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland. The official name of the tournament this year is the ING Turkish Grand Prix.
The Circuit for the Turkish Grand Prix is the Istanbul Park Circuit in Istanbul, Turkey. The track follows the land contours, which dip and fall erratically. It's build was influenced by many of the world's best race tracks, with fourteen separate turns, and has been compared by experts to some of the other tracks on the F1 circuit, including Laguna Seca's “corkscrew”. Turn eight is especially interesting as it is a quadruple apex with a load of 5 G's that the driver has to contend with, making fans scoot to the edge of their seats each time the drivers approach this turn on the circuit.

This was especially true in 2005 as the excitement for fans continued to mount, with drivers being unfamiliar with turn eight and spinning out because they pushed a little too hard taking the corner. Juan Pablo Montoya was one of those who lost it with only two laps to go, attempting to lap Tiago Monteirro. The Istanbul Park Circuit is 5.338 kms and the race length is more than 309 kms with a total of 58 laps being run.
In 2008, Felipe Massa won for Ferrari after starting at pole position on the starting grid, While Lewis Hamilton who started in 3rd on the grid came in second place. Third was taken by Kimi Raikkonen, who won the very first time this race was ever run, and Robert Kubica moved up one spot from the starting grid to take fourth. Nick Hedfield of BMW Sauber took fifth, after being placed 9th in the starting grid. Raikkonen is Massa's current teammate. Massa has won the race the past three years making him champion for 2006, 2007 and 2008. The lap record was set by JP Montoya in 2005 at 1:24.770.
The first practice session starts on Friday, June 5th from 10:00 to 11:30 local time, with another practice session to follow that afternoon from 14:00 to 15:30, giving driver's a total of 3 hours on Friday to get familiar with the track. They'll get one more practice session on Saturday, with only an hour, from 11:00 to 12:00 and then the qualifying starts at 14:00 on Saturday afternoon. The actual race will begin on Sunday, June 7th , 2009 at 15:00 local time.
