The Aussie V8 Supercars Series next races the Armor All Gold Coast 600, held October 21st through the 23rd. This event will be followed by just three more races before the end of the 2011 season of the Aussie V8 Supercars Series. The next event on the calendar is the November 11th through the 13th Falken Tasmania Challenge. After that, the Norton 360 Sandown Challenge will be held from the 18th to the 20th of November and the Sydney Telstra 500 is next, from December 2nd through the 4th. That will be the finale for the Aussie V8 Supercars.

Craig Lowndes will take the top spot in the Aussie V8 Supercars Standings with Jamie Whincup coming in second. The Aussie V8 Supercars Series will continue with the next race on the tour. This week is the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, which will happen on October 6th through the 9th, the tenth event of the year for the Aussie V8 Supercars Championship, and there are just four more races to go before the end of this series for 2011. The next race that will be held is the Armor All Gold Coast 600, which is from October 21st to the 23rd, and then in November, the Falken Tasmania Challenge will be held, with the Syney Telstra 500 coming up December 2nd through the 4th.

Right now Jamie Whincup leads the Aussie V8 standings, while Cragi Lowndes is in the second spot. These two drivers have over 2000 points, with Whincup holding on with 2145 and Craig Lowndes with 2053. Shane Van Gisbergen is third with 1716 and Rick Kelly and Garth tander are in fourth and fifth. Others in the top ten include Will Davison, Mark Winterbottom, Steven Johnson, Alex Davison and Jason Bright. The Aussie V8 Supercars Series live will be running the Sucrogen Townsville 400 which happens July 8th through the 10th, followed by the City of Ipswich 300 August 19th to the 21st. After that, the L&H 500 will be held on Phillip Island September 15th through the 18th and the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 will be run October 6th through the 9th. The SkyCity Triple Crown was the previous race on the calendar, held in Darwin from June 17th through the 19th. It was won by Rick Kelly with Jack Daniels racing for the first race and Shane van Gisbergen was the winner for the second race with SP Tools Racing.

The top drivers include Jamie Whincup in the number one spot with 1395, with Craig Lowndes in second with 1239, and Shane van Gisbergen in third. Rick Kelly is fourth with Steven Johnson in fifth and Will Davison in sixth. Seventh and eighth are Garth Tander and Alex Davison. Mark Winterbottom takes ninth and Jason Bright is tenth in the championship. The Aussie V8 Supercars Championship Series will hold the next event in the series this week in Darwin, and there is plenty of action still on the calendar for the Aussie V8 Supercars as we are not even to the halfway point in the season. This week's event in Darwin is called the SkyCity Triple Crown, and it is the seventh such event of the season. It happens starting Friday, June 17th with all of the big action happening on Sunday, June 19th. It happens at the Hidden Valley Raceway, with four practices scheduled for Friday, and then the qualifying, top ten shootout the first race on Saturday, which starts at 15:35. On Sunday will be the second race at 14:35. Last year in Darwin, Mark Winterbottom won the first race while Jamie Whincup came out on top for the second.

The entry list for this year's SkyCity Triple Crown includes Mark Skaife with Team Vodafone, Todd Kelly with Jack Daniel's Racing and Craig Baird. Greg Murphy and Dean Fiore will also be playing on this track this weekend as well as Paul Morris, James Moffat with Jim Beam Racing, Jonathan Webb and Steve Richards. The Aussie V8 Supercars Series will be racing from Winton this week, the sixth race of the year, with lots more action on the Aussie V8 circuit on the way. This week's race is Winton will happen from May 20th to the 22nd and it is a challenging circuit to be sure. The corners and rural layout make Winton one of the most challenging and slowest circuits on the calender, twelve of them in total that are joined together by short straightaways. Last year, James Courtney won the shootout and Saturday's and Sunday's races. Rick Kelly took the Sunday qualifying. As for second, Jamie Whincup, Garth Tander and Craig Lowndes were all awarded. Third placers included Mark Winterbottom, Paul Dumbrell and Lee Holdsworth.

Jamie Whincup leads the standings right now with 946 points with Craig Lowndes placed second with 804. Garth Tander is third and Shane van Gisbergen takes fourth place with 730. Event number four in the Aussie V8 Supercars Series will be the Trading Post Perth Challenge, which happens April 29th through May 1st. The series will continue with an event at the Winton Motor Raceway next, and it will happen on May 20th through the 22nd. After that, the SkyCity Triple Crown at Darwin will take place June 17th through the 19th. The V8 Supercars Series makes its return to the Barbagallo Raceway for this week's race with some of the top names in Aussie Racing taking to the track with five support categories to give fans an action packed weekend of racing. On the list of support races are the Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series, the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, the Australian Superbike Championships and the Touring Car Masters as well as the Auto One V8 UTE Racing Series. This is the first time that the V8 Supercars series has competed in Western Australia since 2009.

The Aussie V8 Supercars series will head to the next event this weekend, the ITM 400 Hamilton, April 15th through the 17th and then will move onto the Trading Post Perth Challenge, April 29th through May 1st and then onto the Winton Motor Raceway for an event from May 20th to the 22nd, and next they will hold the SkyCity Triple Crown at Darwin, June 17th through the 19th. There have only been two races prior to this third round event. The series started in Abu Dhabi for the Yas V8 400, and Friday's race was won by Team Vodafone with Jamie Whincup driving. Second was Irving Racing's Alex Davison and then third was Mark Winterbottom with Orrcon Steel FPR Falcon. The second race saw Toll Holden Racing Team driver James Courtney come out in front with Jason Bright in second and Jamie Whincup in third. The most recent event saw the first race won by Garth Tander, and the second by Jamie Whincup.
