Aussie V8 Supercars Series Live

The Aussie V8 Supercars Series will be heading to the final event of the year this week, which is going to happen in Sydney and happens to be called the Syney Telstra 500, held from the 2^nd of December to the 4^th. This series began with the first round in Abu Dhabi on February 10^th through the 13^th earlier this year and then went through many different venues before it got to this fourteenth and final round. Other venues included Adelaide, March 17^th through the 20^th, Hamilton, Ipwich, Bathurst and of the course the world famous Phillip Island Circuit.

Here is the end of year standings right now for this final event. Jamie Whincup is in first place with 3033 points, while Craig Lowndes comes in second and Mark Winterbottom takes third place. Shane Van Gisbergen, Garth Tander and Will Davison and Rick Kelly are the next four and the final three in the top ten are Lee Holdsworth, Alex Davison and Fabian Coulthard. The Aussie V8 Supercars Series will be competing this week in the Norton 360 Sandown Challenge, from November 18^th to the 20^th. This will be the thirteenth event of the year and it will be followed by the final official event on the calendar, the December 2^nd through the 4^th Syney Testra 500. The final event in the Aussie V8 Supercars Series isn't actually an event on the calendar, but is still an Aussie V8 Supercars Event. It is called the F1 Quantas Australian Grand Prix, and this non-championship series event happens March 24^th to the 27^th.

Right now, Jamie Whincup leads the Aussie V8 Supercars standings with a total of 2817 points. Craig Lowndes comes in second and Mark Winterbottom takes third.
