The next race of the FIA World Rally Championship is the RACC Rally de Espana, held from October 20th to the 23rd with the final event of the season the November 10th - 13th Wales Rally GB. This is the 47th edition for the Rally de Espana and it is unique for being one of the only mixed surfaces rounds on the FIM World Rally Championship Calender. The first day will happen on a gravel surface, and then the following two days will both be raced on asphalt. It is also unique for hosting both the Super 200 and Production Car World Championships, which only one other event does.

Sebastien Loeb leads the standings right now with 196 points, but that total is also held by Mikko Hirvonen in second. Sebastian Ogier is third with 193 points and then Jari-Matta Latvala comes in fourth with 131. The FIA World Rally Championship will next hold the Rally Australia, which will be September 8th through the 11th, and then just three more races make up the rest of the season. Coming up September 29th through October 2nd the Rallye de France Alsace, and then onto the RallyRACC Rally of Spain October 20th through the 23rd. Finally, the last race of the year for the WRC will be the Wales Rally Great Britain, November 10th through the 13th. The previous race was the ADAC Rallye Deutschland, held August 18th through the 21st. It was won by Sebastian Ogier.

Sebastian Ogier also leads the standings right now with Sebastian Loeb a close second. In third is Dani Sordo, with Mikko Hirvonen in fourth. Peter Solberg is fifth. In sixth place is Kimi Raikkonen and Henning Solberg is seventh. The last three that are in the top ten of the FIA WRC standings are Armindo Aruajo, Peter Van Merksteijn and Dennis Kuipers.
