Renault World Series Barcelona Spain Live

The World Series by Renault races in Catalunya this week, and this Spanish round of the Renault World Series will be from October 8^th to the 9^th, and it will finish out the racing season for the series. We have come full circle since the first race of the season, which was also held in Spain, at Motorland, and from there the series went on to Belgium to race at Spa-Francorchamps and then made stops in Monaco, Monza, Italy and Nurburging in Germany. Most recently the Renault World Series raced at the Paul Ricard circuit, and Silverstone in the UK.

Let's take a look at the standings for the series as we head into the final race of the year. Canada's Robert Wickens is in first place with 216 points. Jean Eric Vergne from France will take second and Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo is in third. American Alexander Rossi will come in fourth with 138 points and Spain's Albert Costa is in fifth right now. In the teams, Carlin comes in first, with Fortec in second and ISR in third place. The Renault World Series Barcelona Spain will be heading to the Catalunya, Spain circuit for the final race of the year, which will be held October 9^th through the 10^th. This event has a full schedule of races for the final rally of the year, including the Megane Trophy Race and the FR 3.5 race, all part of the final tournament of the 2010 season for the World Series by Renault. The last meeting was at Spa-Francorchamps, France and the first race was won by Mikhail Aleshin with Sten Pentus in second place and Stefano Coletti in third. Fourth was Albert Costa with Jon Lancaster in fifth. Then, we moved onto the second race at Spa, and the big winner was Esteban Guerrier II, with Daniel Zampieri in second and Stefano Coletti in third, Mikhail Aleshin took the fourth spot in that race and Daniel Ricciardo took fifth place. Other races this season have included Hungaroring, Magny-Cours and Monaco.

Mikhail Aleshin has the top spot in the driver's championship, with 116 points, while Daniel Ricciardo is second with 113. Esteban Guerrier is third while Sten Pentus takes fourth, Albert Costa is fifth right now. For the teams, Tech 1 Racing takes first with 194 poitns while ISR is in second place with 141.
