The FIM Speedway Grand Prix is going to be revving up for action this Saturday, as these motorcyclists show yet again that they are indeed the best riders in the world in the Danish Grand Prix round this year. It all takes place on Saturday, June 13th, and the wildcard for this race has been announced. It is 26 year old Neils-Kristian Iverse, who will celebrate his birthday just seven days after the end of the race. Odds are, he's hoping that he'll have two things to celebrate on his birthday – turning a year older and winning the Dansk Metal Danish Speedway Grand Prix this year.

The race will be held at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark and in this fourth event of the season it isn't just Iverse who is hoping to take home the trophy, as there are fifteen other riders that all want the exact same thing. Most notably is Kenneth Bjerre, another Danish rider like Neils-Kristian Iverse, who wants to win the race in front of his fans. However, Bjerre has more important things to worry about at the moment, as he is ranked eighth currently, which will give him automatic qualification for 2010 – if he keeps his standing in the top 12.

Sebastian Ulamek is another rider to watch, brimming with confidence from last week's qualifier in Italy. Ulamek won his place in the world championship series this year by finishing at the top at Lonigo, taking on thirteen points. Winners from the past few years since the race has been held at Parken include 2008 champion Thomasz Gollob, Andreas Jonssen, Hans Anderson, Tony Rickardsson and Jason Crump who won it in 2003, the first year it was held at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, as well as taking home the trophy in 2004. If you want to watch this race, simply click on the links on this page to get your year long membership to our huge network of live feeds and streaming video from the game. Don't miss the Danish Grand Prix 2009, Saturday, June 13th.
