Last year at the Sinopec Chinese Grand Prix it was Kimi Raikkonen who won the race here and Fernando Alonso was the runner-up. Fernando Alonso won the race last weekend at the Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix at the Fuji Speedway and Robert Kubica ended up in the second position. Alonso also won the race right before that – at the SingTel Singapore Grand Prix on the 28th of September. Right after the Sinopec Chinese Grand Prix 2008 there would be one more race to go the Grande Premio Do Brasil in Sao Paulo and that would end another exciting season of Formula One.

Currently every Formula One fan is too excited to find out the winning driver as well as the winning manufacturer of this season. Lewis Hamilton is leading with 84 points but not far behind is Felipe Massa with 79 points. Anything can happen in the remaining two races and therefore no body can afford to miss either. Among the teams it is Ferrari on top with 142 points and right behind them is the McLaren Mercedes Team with 135 points. Last year McLaren-Mercedes was stripped off all points and so they are more than ever into the race to try and occupy the leading position. With their driver Lewis Hamilton in the lead and team mate Heikki Kovalainen in the sixth position the McLaren-Mercedes team surely have great reasons to hope for. Whereas the Ferrari team has got the second lead with Felipe Massa and the fourth position with team mate Kimi Raikkonen. Now the question is can the Ferrari Team remain unbeaten for the final two races?

The Chinese Grand Prix gets really exciting every year and there is no reason to believe that this year would be any exception. The Formula One fans are really looking forward to the race this weekend.
