JiR Scot Team entered MotoGP in the year 2005 as Konica Minolta Honda. The team is based in Monte Carlo, Monaco and it is the third year that they are participating in the MotoGP World championship.

The JiR Scot Team is quite new to the field of MotoGP and they do not have such an eventful history but they show immense possibilities for the near future and that is what makes their races exciting and hopeful. In their first season of 2005 the team ended up in the third place at the Japanese Grand Prix and in the following season manages many top ten finishes. It was with the rider Makoto Tamada that they participated in the MotoGP for their first two seasons and then in 2007 Makoto Tamada was replaced by Shinya Nakano. In this season the JiR Scot Team has managed to get Andrea Dovizioso, the World Champion of 2004 to join their team and so there are new hopes for them now. Right now he is in the fifth position with 145 points. With Dovizioso closing up on Lorenzo the battle of being the rookie of the year intensifies a little bit more with every new race.
